LIFESTYLE COACHING

For people who want to discover their potential

Helping you identify who you are, rather than who you think you should be.

Whether you want to feel more confident about yourself, completely transform your life, or discover what your full potential looks like, I can help you get unstuck by providing a safe space for you to explore the life that you want. I’ll help you unpick what’s not working for you, identify who you are, rather than who you think you should be. I’ll work with you to turn your thoughts, feelings and ideas into actionable plans and help you move closer to your life goals. The first step is to book a free discovery call. This is a Teams video chat where we’ll get to know each other, talk about where you are and where you’d like to be, and see if we’re the right fit to work together. After the discovery call, there are a few simple steps to get started: you’ll fill out an introductory form to help me better understand your goals, we’ll agree how we’ll work together, and then you’ll book and pay for your first coaching sessions.

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING

It’s hard to get across the purpose and benefits of what I do without using a load of ‘buzzwords’ and cliches. Words such as ‘transformational’ appear to be overly ambitious, but that really does sum up the power of being able to fully understand yourself and create a life that you want with all the important things around you.

It also wasn’t that long ago that life coaching wasn’t recognised as a valuable career, let alone the benefits that people can derive from it. I’ll be honest – that was me once upon a time too.

Back in 2014 when I first explored the idea of evolving my personal training and run coaching to include people’s wider lives, I wasn’t a big fan of the term ‘Life Coach’. I was ready to move forward with my business in this way, but the world wasn’t ready to receive it, at least not in the UK.

Anyhoo, back to what life coaching is. In all honesty, and without meaning to give a fobbed off answer, it’s different for everyone.

Whether you have a clear idea of the changes you want to make, but need help creating a plan of action, know that things need to change but don’t know what, or have found yourself needing a hard reset, as your life coach I will help you to close the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

BENEFITS OF LIFE COACHING

IDENTITY

Life coaching helps you improve your self-awareness so you are able to start identifying what you like, what you don’t like, and who you really are.

We’ll explore your values, passions and strengths to help you understand what truly matters to you so that you can set goals and create plans to have the life you want.

Imagine being the person you have always wanted to be.

CONFIDENCE

Life coaching helps you build self-confidence by challenging self-doubt and unlocking your true potential.

I will provide you with the support you need so you can start achieving things that you didn’t think were possible.

Imagine how it would feel to walk around with your head held high, a spring in your step and a smile on your face because you are living your best life.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Life coaching helps you to stay focused on what matters most to you, whether that’s achieving specific goals or staying aligned with your core values.

I will provide you with the encouragement, support and accountability you need to stay on track with the things you want in your life.

Imagine completing the plans you want for yourself so that you are able to create your dream life.

MY APPROACH TO LIFE COACHING

Whether you have a clear idea of the changes you want to make, but need help creating a plan of action; know that things need to change but don’t know what; or have found yourself needing a hard reset, as your life coach I will help you to:

  • Identify where you are now
  • Understand what is keeping you there
  • Explore where you want to be; and
  • Create a plan on how to get you closer to achieving your goals

WHO I WORK WITH

Although my coaching is designed to help you discover what you want, regardless of your background, and whether we can work together is definitely more important than what kind of person you are, I am passionate about working with with

  • People who are a bit sceptical of life coaches
  • Neurodivergent people, especially those receiving diagnoses (later) in adulthood
  • Runners and triathletes; and
  • Self employed people, or small business owners

WHAT I CAN HELP WITH

Although my coaching is designed to help you discover what you want across different aspects of your life, I have experience, knowledge, and interest in a variety of areas. Not only can this be reassuring to know, it also means I can adopt more of a mentoring role at times if you require knowledge about something specific.

In reality, we may delve into all the different areas of coaching at some point, which is a common approach as few areas of our lives stand completely separately from other aspects.

I have listed the different types of coaching I offer – whilst I have tried to include the most common elements within each section, there are quite simply too many to list.

If you don’t see something that you would like support with, please either get in touch with what you are looking for, or book a free discovery call.

General Life Coaching

  • Learn how to prioritise yourself and set boundaries, both with yourself and other people in your life
  • Improve your self-confidence by challenging the thoughts and feelings you have about yourself and what you can do
  • Gain clarity and awareness with your thoughts and feelings in a way that helps you understand what you need at any given time
  • Introduce and maintain accountability methods into your coaching sessions and beyond so you are always able to achieve your goals

Transitional Life Coaching

With transitional coaching, we will still cover everything under general life coaching, with an approach that is designed to look at every part of your life. This form of coaching is usually used if you have experienced a big or stressful change in your life, such as:

  • You have received a neurodivergent diagnosis (autism, ADHD, or both) later in life and you feel you have no idea who you really are after a lifetime of masking
  • You have left a very unhappy or abusive relationship and want to re-establish yourself in the world after years of feeling you couldn’t do what you wanted to do
  • You have received a chronic illness diagnosis and have either recovered and feel you need to refocus your life, or need to make changes in your life to accommodate your limitations
  • You have come to a point in your life where you are unhappy with so many things that you know things have to change, but need to explore what to include and remove from your life

Exercise & Fitness Coaching

  • With the nation being less active than ever, you may feel that you need to be more active, but want to explore what kind of exercise you want to do
  • Increase your fitness levels and improve your overall health so that you can feel healthier and fitter to enjoy things that you’re currently unable to do
  • Reach your fitness goals by creating healthy habits and actionable plans that will keep you accountable and on track
  • The gym isn’t for everyone – learn how to exercise in a way that works for you which is enjoyable and sustainable

Diet & Nutrition Coaching

  • With more fad diets and quick fixes around than ever before, you may feel that you need to create a healthy relationship with your food that produces enjoyable and sustainable results
  • Learn how to adapt your current diet with weekly goals that are easier to manage than trying to overhaul everything you eat in one go
  • Understand the hidden messages behind food labels and packaging, so you feel more confident buying food that is good for you, rather than what the marketing message has you believe
  • With some good planning and tips, you can discover new ways to eat healthily without spending more time and money than you need to (or can afford)

Run Coaching

  • If running is your chosen exercise, then I can help you improve the way you run, and your times if that is one of your goals
  • Learn how to run more efficiently with a variety of different coaching techiques and exercises designed specifically for runners
  • Explore what goals you have and how to achieve them, whether that is to run a whole 5k without walking, or complete your first marathon
  • Create a healthy relationship with your running where you can learn to recognise the need for rest days and when to push yourself a bit harder

Business Coaching

  • Learn how to set up your own business from registering domains, designing websites and implementing automated processes to make your life easier
  • Improve current business efficiencies by streamlining your processes and introducing automated workflows to replace your manual processes
  • Develop and improve procedures by aligning them with your business needs, making sure that each one is still relevant and serves a purpose
  • Create a simpler, more organised and stress-free work-life balance by freeing up some of your business administration tasks with automated processes or outsourcing

HOW DOES IT WORK

When I work with you, I will initially review and understand how things currently are for you and the areas you would like to improve or change. This will begin within your free discovery call where you will have answered a few questions in advance to get us started.

From here, we will either continue with some general coaching sessions to address your day-to-day life, or it may be more appropriate to move to one of the above forms of coaching, depending on your main goals.

I will ask lots of questions that will sometimes be difficult and thought-provoking, but I am compassionate and empathetic in my questioning to help you identify and understand the way you are feeling, and how you want to move forward in a way that works for you.

How many sessions will you need

This very much depends on you, your goals and how long you want to work with me.

For more general life coaching, especially where you have one or two things you want to achieve, I would recommend a minimum of four weekly sessions after your initial discovery call to fully understand and put plans in place to achieve at least one of your goals (or have developed a good mindset and routine to continue working towards your goals beyond this point).

For transitional coaching, you’re looking at a good three months to be able to unpick where you’re currently at, process what you discover, and then put actionable plans in place to develop you into a relatively new person.

In either case (or anything in between), you can then continue to book as many in advance as you like for as long as you like. Some people have something very specific they would like to address and are happy to go away with a plan in place.

Other people like (or need) longer term accountability for a whole range of things that they want to change in their lives. This can become overwhelming at times, so having a weekly, fortnightly, or even monthly, session booked in with me helps to keep them on track.

Pricing

Your initial consultation is a free discovery call via Teams to help us decide if we will work well together.

You can then choose from one of the following options:

  • Transitional Coaching package of £720 for the first 12 weeks
  • All other coaching at £240 for the first 4 weeks

Ongoing, sessions can be booked in blocks of 4 or 12 at £240 and £740 respectively, or singularly at £60 per session.

All payments are to be made for in full no later than 24 hours before each session (or before the first of your block of sessions).

WHAT LIFE COACHING IS NOT

Telling you what to you

I am here to help you become more aware of what you’re currently doing, what you’re not happy with, and create plans to move you to where you want to be. I firmly believe that you being involved in the whole process of decision making helps you to much better understand your whys and the reasons and benefits behind the changes you make.

You are welcome to ask my opinion on things, and in areas I have relevant knowledge or experience, you may ask for specific information from me, but this all needs to form part of your exploration process to help you reach your own decisions on what you want to do.

Quick fixes

I believe it’s important to create a healthy and sustainable relationship with yourself, your goals and taking responsibility for the decisions you make and associated habits. Quick fixes do what they say on the tin, but they also result in a continuous cycle of fixing rather than maintaining, which is usually what people come to life coaching to stop doing.

I am all for making life easier for people by cutting out unnecessary things or finding better ways of doing things, but these all need to be aligned with your goals and values.

Diagnosing or directly supporting medical conditions

I am not a medical practitioner, let alone one that specialises in any conditions so, whilst I may be able to identify if you are presenting with particular behaviours, I cannot directly help with a diagnosis or recovery.

I may, however, be able to put you in touch with people who can diagnose, such as dieticians (for eating disorders), private autism/ADHD assessors, or provide you with resources to help you navigate certain processes.

(This also applies to complex food Intolerances, allergies and chosen diets that require careful and detailed restrictions and nutritional alternatives)

Counselling of any kind

In life coaching sessions, it is sometimes common or necessary to reflect on the ways things have been to bring some context to your life today and how you want it to be (or at the very least how you know you don’t want it to be). However, life coaching is very much focused on moving you forward rather than addressing your past.

That said, having benefitted from counselling myself, I do believe that it is vital that your past is not affecting your future plans. If we discover that counselling may be beneficial to you (or your relationship), then I can help you explore the best type of therapy for you, and whether therapy replaces or supports your life coaching sessions.

Weekly/continuous meal plans

Whilst I can provide you with some meal ideas and an example of a weekly plan, my coaching is all about helping you to develop these for yourself. We’ll begin with what you’re already doing and tweak and change things to slowly introduce you to a more healthy and balanced diet.

If we discover that regular meal plans will work best for you, then I can put you in touch with people who can help you with this.

Personal training sessions

Although I am I qualified personal trainer, I use this knowledge and experience to provide you with examples of exercise you can include within your exercise routine. Run training plans are available, and I can advise on appropriate strength and conditioning exercises to include within these plans.

However, if you require more regular and dedicated support with your exercise, then I will recommend some personal trainers who can support you with this.
