This spreadsheet template includes all the essential contact fields you’ll need, plus some optional ones to gather and organise your business contact information.

From basic details like name, email and company to more detailed information like source, status and popular tags, it’s designed to serve as both an immediate solution for contact storage and a foundation for if/when you’re ready to move to a full CRM platform.

HOW TO USE THE TEMPLATE

There are instructions and notes on the spreadsheet to help guide you through how to use it, but the most important bit is to save the template somewhere safe. This will allow you to edit the spreadsheet and save any changes you make.

I would also recommend copying the ‘CRM’ tab  and renaming it to ‘Template’ so that you have always got a copy of the notes and instructions to refer back to. You can then delete the first few lines with some instructions on them, and you can also delete the ‘Example record’ (unless you want to keep my strategically placed contact details in your CRM!

You can then start populating the spreadsheet with your business contact information. There are dropdowns already created with some common selections, which you can change on the ‘Pick List’ tab to suit your own business.
